Ellis Park Hosts Exciting Three Days of Racing and Community Events
HENDERSON, KY., (July 26, 2024) –
Ellis Park Racing & Gaming is gearing up for an action-packed weekend with PDJF Across America Day, Kentucky HPBA College Day and Teacher Appreciation Day. From Saturday to Monday, 270 horses will compete in 27 thrilling races, averaging 10 horses per race. Daily first post is at 11:50 a.m. CT.
Saturday: PDJF Across America Day
Ellis Park will kick off the weekend with PDJF Across America Day, dedicated to raising funds for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (PDJF). The PDJF, a 501(c)(3) public charity, supports around 60 former jockeys who have suffered catastrophic on-track injuries. Since its inception in 2006, the fund has distributed nearly $14 million to assist these athletes, many of whom live with paralysis or brain injuries.
Before the races, attendees can meet current and former riders during an autograph session, celebrating the contributions of these athletes to the sport.
Sunday: Kentucky HPBA College Day
On Sunday, Ellis Park will host Kentucky HPBA College Day. College students with valid ID can register at the concourse tables for a chance to win $1,000 scholarships, iPads, and AirPods. Scholarships and prizes will be awarded throughout the day, making this an exciting opportunity for students throughout the tri-state area.
Monday: Teacher Appreciation Day
Monday will be dedicated to honoring educators with Teacher Appreciation Day. Donation stations will be set up around the racetrack to collect school supplies for the upcoming year. It’s a great chance for the community to support local teachers and students.

Racing fans can enjoy top-tier action with two daily Pick 5s, the $3 All Turf Pick 3, and the 20-cent Dade Park 6 Jackpot, providing fantastic wagering opportunities.
