Corporate Social Responsibility

Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) upholds a long tradition of corporate social responsibility and has been a committed community philanthropic partner for decades. Our flagship event, the Kentucky Derby, is an integral part of Louisville’s charm and vibrancy, reinforcing our company’s efforts to support organizations that make our city and the Commonwealth of Kentucky a culturally rich destination.
At CDI, we prioritize contributions to initiatives that enhance community well-being and shape the unique identity of our region. Our charitable efforts focus on uplifting the growth and sustainability of the equine industry and supporting meaningful health and human services.
With a profound impact on the communities in which we operate, CDI proudly contributes over $13 million annually in charitable grants and in-kind donations to more than 800 organizations across the nation. Our dedication to fostering positive change continues to drive our mission and enrich the lives of those around our operations.
