Corporate Social Responsibility
Churchill Downs Incorporated follows a long tradition of corporate social responsibility and has been a committed charitable partner for decades. It is undeniable that the Kentucky Derby is part of what makes Louisville such a wonderful, vibrant place to live and work. Thus it is critically important to our company to support the organizations that make this city and the Commonwealth of Kentucky the culturally rich destination that it is. CDI prioritizes giving to those entities that help enrich a community’s quality of life and contribute to the overall unique identity of the region, focusing our charitable impact on the equine industry, reducing inequalities and health and human services.
CDI has had significant impact on the many communities in which we operate, and through corporate giving, over $5 million in charitable grants and in-kind donations is contributed annually to over 800 organizations nationwide.
