Churchill Downs Recognized at 2024 Louisville Business First Partners in Philanthropy Awards
Each year, these awards recognize local businesses for their financial support of charities and philanthropic enterprises.
Ten Louisville area businesses were selected for each of the three categories (Small, Medium and Large) based on revenue, to be recognized as a top charitable donor in 2023. CDI was in good company amongst other large philanthropic donors such as Humana, Brown-Forman, and Kroger Co., finishing in seventh place with over 4.3 million dollars in cash donations.
The event also honored outstanding executive directors, presidents and CEOs of Louisville metropolitan area nonprofits with Nonprofit Visionary Leaders Awards, and bourbon expert and author Fred Minnick was named the Volunteer of the Year.
“CDI is incredibly proud to receive such an impactful award,” explains Mark Whitten, Director of Community Relations at CDI. “As a Louisville based company, investing back into our great city is at the top of our priority list, and we are so honored to partner with organizations like Louisville Business First to accomplish this mission.”
